    COURSE CONTENT

    With over 30,000 cardiac arrests occurring outside the hospital environment in the UK each year, it has never been more important to be trained in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).

    The Chain of Survival

    Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation

    Anatomy and physiology of the heart

    Safety considerations of Defibrillation

    Automatic External Defibrillator – practical scenarios

    Assessment & Certification

    Learners will be monitored throughout and awarded certification upon completion of the course. It is recommended that this Automated External Defibrillation qualification is refreshed annually, as stated by the UK Resuscitation Council. Attending a further half-day Automated External Defibrillation training course will renew certification.

    Note: This course could also be combined with Oxygen Therapy Training.

  • AED training

    WHO SHOULD ATTEND ?

    This course is suitable for anyone who wants to be trained in the use of an AED and CPR; whether you are a qualified First Aider or not. Anyone can attend this course; you do not have to be First Aid trained to attend the session.
